He contrasts the salafist interpretation with the approach of the medieval scholar \u02bfAbd al-Q\u0101hir al-\u01e6urj\u0101n\u012b who emphasizes the necessity of an analysis informed by literary\nscience and who relates the Qur\u02be\u0101n to poetry.
