The Cameroonian sociologist and theologian Jean-Marc Ela used his knowledge in order to examine social exclusion. According to him, being excluded means being deprived of basic commodities for a dignified life. Within the precarious neighborhoods of urban settings and villages, his sociologist’s lenses scrutinize the daily life of people facing precariousness. Through a critical analysis, he denounces inequalities at the healthcare and educational levels. Rural healthcare centers lack new technical facilities while run-down schools are left in a sorry state. Everydayness in situations of precariousness imposes a critical view in order to reach a situation where shared social happiness spreads.
