Mt 8,1-17 : un paradigme herméneutique de l’identité messianique de Jésus

Mt 8 :1-17 is the first of the three triads that form the cycle of miracles (Mt 8-9). It stands as a paradigm of understanding the miracles of Jesus in Matthew because of the mention of the summary fulfillment (Mt 8:17) of all miraculous acts and, above all, the quotation of fulfillment as the hermeneutical key to the identification of Jesus, the inaugurator of the new Messianism (Mt 11 : 2-6).

Les femmes/le féminin dans les Exercices Spirituels et le Récit du pèlerin

The author of this essay explores the faces of the feminine in the writings of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, especially in the Spiritual Exercises and the Autobiography in dialogue with his Letters. Through a synchronic and intertextual analysis of the various works, the goal is to discern the various characteristics of the feminine and women in Ignatius’ thought. What emerges are very rich and varied faces of women and the feminine far from stereotypes and rushed and hasty generalizations which sometimes stick to Saint Ignatius of Loyola.

Le Muntu chrétien contemporain et la question de l’éternité

The question of the African person and eternity can be understood according to two formulations. The first formulation alludes to the human being to whom the question of eternity arises. The second could signify the human being who questions himself/herself about eternity. The challenge for African Christians is to be living witnesses in the world of the eternal life that has already begun. However, how does one go about rising to such a challenge ? The author attempts an answer in three stages : (1) by exploring the African understanding of eternity ; (2) then, by presenting the Christian comprehension of eternity ; (3) and finally Nazaire Mabanza, Kanien 11/1 (2023) 32-49by showing how African Christians can live exemplary lives displaying hope in eternal life

Exploring the State and Present Realities of the Teaching and Studying of Religion in the Public University in Ghana

The relevance of the study of religions in public universities faces frequent critique from other members both in academia and the public. This field of study is often and easily misconceived to belong to faith-based institutions. However, in Ghana, this field of study persists in public universities. This makes it compelling to understand the present realities of the study of religion in public universities and open a discourse on how such a public space can maximize education for social transformation and development in a religiously plural society like Ghana.
